So this week with my new companion went absolutely wonderful! me and my companion are really great friends! and we have a lot of unity when we teach! this week we really put our selves to finding new people that are wanting to know the truth, and we have found lots but I want to just talk about one. His name is Hugo, and we found him when we were giving service to his grandma, cutting Nopales, and we came and sat with us and we started talking to him and we asked if we could teach him a message of Christ, and he said yes, and he told us to come back tomorrow! so we passed by and he was ready to listen to us. He then told us about his life that he was catholic but then he started to not believe in God, and that then he started having a hope or a little belief that there is a god! so we started explaining everything we could, but it was really cool seeing this young man (21 years old) searching for God! We bore our testimonies to him that we know god lives and then we challenged him to baptism, he accepted but doubting and then he asked us if he could go to church!! haha we said of course! and he is really happy, he said the closing prayer in our visit and he said that he felt a relief or a peace! and it turns out when he came to church, his cousin is listening to us also, LUIS!!! they're cousins! its so cool!
Well Luis is progressing a lot! he came to church again for the 3rd time and is really excited! he even invites his friends to come and listen to us!! its so funny! we are now teaching one of his friends , Cesar!
This week we had 5 investigators in church!! the family of girls came!! and luis and hugo! we are pretty excited for this month! i also gave a talk in church and i talked about how important LOVE is for us to have. i was thinking about that and i remembered my football career and i remembered that i would put everything i had into everysingle moment when i would be playing because I LOVE FOOTBALL.. and it hit me if i love the lord, his teachings, the scriptures, serving, or even just listening, i will be a better person, i will be a better disiple of christ! i know that we have to develope this love for our savior to be able to do the things that he wants us to do, we need to love him and know him!! i know if we learn to love we will be better off in life, and enjoy life!! ¨men exist that they might have joy¨!! Love one another in all that you do, and do Gods work! i love you all! have a great week!
